Meet Rebecca, Bates Studio’s Creative Director but is she swapping Bates Studio for the recording studio?
Describe Bates Studio in three words.
I am sure that I am obliged to say Culture-First Workspaces, but my actual answer is; Creative. Ambitious. Passionate.
What is your best workplace productivity tip?
Get organised and prioritise. I map out my day in time blocks and prioritise the most urgent tasks. Also, knowing your own strengths – not as productive first thing? Do those 5-minute admin tasks to get them ticked off for the day.
What is the best thing about your job?
It’s limitless. We really give people the chance to be the leaders of their own careers., carving their own way in Bates Studio based on their passions. I love that I can facilitate that for our team, and our customers.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I am actually teaching myself piano at the moment … a few stumbling blocks in that I am tone death, have no rhythm or coordination, but my rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is great. Watch this space!
If you could only have three apps on your phone, what would you pick?
This is going to be telling! Going to have to be; Instagram (sorry, I am an millennial), The Guardian (addicted to the Photos of the Day), and Notion with my productivity planner on (love a to-do list!).
