Buying a property is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s an experience

John D Wood pride themselves on providing a bespoke and personalised service. We wanted to create a space which reflected this in its entirety. Bates were appointed the main contractors for the full design and fitout of the space. Our studio provided John D Wood with navigable space plans, renders, and VR to bring our design concepts to life. From an empty shell of a building to a fully functional space, Bates provided end-to-end project management.

Adhering to our Culture-First Workspaces mantra, we conducted the D&B solely on John D Wood’s ethos. As a brand, they have a traditional image but also take initiative and remain at the forefront of the industry. We kept traditional aspects within our designs such as fluted centre lights and dark walnut finishes. To represent the innovation of John D Wood, we designed segregated wall panelling as well as LED lighting throughout the space.

Not satisfied with just any ordinary office partition, Bates design a created a fully bespoke glass wall adorned with a lasered map of London. This showstopper certainly creates a focal point within the office and harks back to the innovative nature of the company with elegance and class.

Bates thoroughly enjoyed this project from start to finish. Being able to fully design a space that truly reflected our client’s culture is our bread and butter.
